Upcoming PSD2 API Version 3 Release on the 11 April 2024
Dear Developer,
Make a note, please! We're excited to share some important updates on our PSD2 API as we gear up for the release of Version 3 on the 11 April 2024.
The Sandbox environment, Swagger and Developer (pdf) documentations have already been updated with Version 3 changes. Please ensure that you check them and test your integrations in the Sandbox environment to identify and address any potential issues.
The release of Version 3 into production will have a severe impact on the Oauth2 flow in version 2. All Oauth2 access/refresh tokens (version 2) will be invalidated. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Key Highlights of PSD2 API Version 3 release:
- Major AIS Update – a new SCA Flow for Transactions Over 90 Days:
A significant change in Account Information Services (AIS) will implement a new Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) flow for transactions exceeding 90 days. This includes acquiring and confirming authorization from the PSU.
- New API Health Check Endpoint:
Version 3 will introduce a dedicated health check endpoint, allowing you to efficiently monitor the health of our API services.
- New Request Header - PSU-CORPORATE-ID:
Version 3 will now accept the inclusion of a new request header, "PSU-CORPORATE-ID," for PSU validation purposes.
- Payment Reject Reasons in GET Payment Status Endpoints:
Payment reject reasons will be included in the response of GET endpoints: / {payment-service}/{payment-product}/{paymentId}/status for a better understanding of rejected payments on the Bank side, as well as improving PIS journey once more!
Something to keep in mind:
API version numbers will be included in the URL structure. For example: {{apiUri}}/v3/accounts. The older PSD2 API version will be deprecated but remain available for two months after the Version 3 release in the production environment. After this period, it will be permanently removed.
If any actions are needed on your end based on the updated specifications, we recommend taking them at your earliest convenience to ensure a seamless transition to Version 3.
Thank you for your attention and we look forward to delivering an enhanced Openbanking experience with PSD2 API Version 3.
